Happy Halloween at Home

Halloween is usually a celebration of all things weird and scary, but at its heart, it’s about the spirit of creativity in all of us. No matter your age, you are never too old or too young to participate and show your alter-ego for one night only.

Halloween this year may be a little tricky to navigate. Parents are left having to answer kids’ questions about their costumes, trick-or-treating (how it will even work), and whether or not each and every candy will need to be sanitized before being enjoyed.

So, let’s take a break from all the seriousness and focus on the positive! Here’s something that parents can do for themselves to make things a bit more tolerable and festive on this spooky night — once the kids are sleeping, of course.

Infused Super S’Mores

You’re going to need:

1. Graham crackers
2. Marshmallows (larger ones are easier)
3. One package of your favourite chocolate edible, like Kolab Cherry Cola.

Step One:

Turn on the stove (if you don’t have a fireplace or fire pit), put a marshmallow on a stainless steel fork, and place the marshmallow just above the flame, making sure you rotate for an even crisp throughout.

Step Two:

Take a piece of chocolate and place it between two crackers.

Step Three:

Once a satisfactory goo-factor is met, grab the graham crackers (with the chocolate) and pull the marshmallow off.

Step Four:

Give the heat a minute to warm up the chocolate before taking a bite.

If you don’t have a gas stove, you can assemble all of the ingredients on a baking sheet and broil for one or two minutes. Just keep an eye on the s’mores, as they do tend to brown quickly.
